Cycling makes us feel good

We are all in favour of bicycles. This is the result of a number of polls and interviews focusing both on springtime activities, favourite sports or ways to move around town for leisure. There are many reasons why cycling is good for our health: it has beneficial effects on our cardiovascular system, muscles, bones and ligaments, as well as on our lymphatic system. But all this is nothing compared to the “sensory” benefits of this sport! The emotional aspect of cycling is also extremely important. Do you remember the first time you got on a bike? And the thrill of joy when you received your very first bicycle, or perhaps you bought it, with your hard-saved money? Do you remember the efforts made to keep your balance, and the reassuring help of your parents, their words of encouragement, the first, inevitable falls, and finally riding joyfully, on a warm summer afternoon…
