Come and join us for the oil-tasting Fête at our olive mill in Cavaion Veronese on Sunday, November 8th.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. you are most welcome to our mill: we will be happy to offer you a taste of our new oil, and in exchange for a small contribution to the Red Cross in Bardolino you will also have the opportunity to lunch with some typical dishes of the Garda district such as polenta e renga (polenta and herring), pasta fagioli and bruschetta, all drizzled with our 2015 olive oil. And obviously, a meal isn’t a meal here if it doesn’t end with a slice of our classic fogassa.
The end of the harvest season and the scent of the first oil always raise great enthusiasm in our hearts and we want to share these emotions with you all: the new oil sees the light, and its intense perfume pervades every corner of our olive mil. This year the harvest was abundant, and the quality of the oil excellent: the acidity levels are around 0.15. We have reason to celebrate, and our fête is for all of you who want to share this very special moment with us.
There will be music, great dishes and festivity, all bound together by our extra virgin olive oil. Moreover, inspired by our passion for cycling and sports in general, this year we decided to add another event to the programme. On the day of the Fête we will be holding a single-speed bike race, the full name of which is “Cros de l’oio novo, single-speed cyclo-cross Italian series event”. We shall meet in the parking lot of the Turri Olive Mill, strada Villa 9 – Cavaion Veronese at 9.30 am, and at 10.30 am we shall head off towards the Tenuta Preella, 2 km away, for breakfast and registration. The race starts at 11.30 am, from one of the picturesque vineyard of the Tenuta Preella winery, and will unwind through the hills south of Lake Garda. The arrival is at the Turri Olive Mill, where participants can join us for lunch at the Fête. For further info and news please go to: http://doodle.com/poll/44tra2qh9xkfuqte
The Fête is organized in collaboration with Verona Garda Bike, Tenuta Preella Lamberti, and Vivai Banterla, with the endorsement of the Municipality of Cavaion Veronese, known as the Town of Olive Oil.
